Fashion idea development. Wanted to reimagine the idea of armour as protection and as structure. Logo and branding for First Light Fifth Day. Wanted to create my own brand and develop advertising to increase awareness of it. I had the stamps and seals made so I could package finished garments in a professional and environmentally friendly way. The logo is pen and ink on paper. I designed the business cards on Photoshop and they were printed by Vistaprint. The wax seal stamp was 3D printed by MoldsWorld and different waxes are trialled in the sketchbook. The fabric labels were embroidered with recycled cotton thread by Wunderlabel. The stamp was 3D printed by StampFactory

Collages on pencil figure drawings. I wanted to use different images of art, history, language, science and nature to create a tapestry of experiences. I wanted to unifiy these disparate ideas by keeping the shape of these elements the same so that the content speaks for itself. The images are taken from magazines, newspapers, pamphlets, posters and recycled book illustrations

Fashion idea development. Inspired by historical costuming and armour. Helmet sketches are pencil linework with fabric inserts. I wanted the helmets to evoke female angler fish and to transform between passive and aggressive by repositioning the 'mandibles'. The central sketches are colouring pencil and metallic pen. I wanted to modernise historical staples like puff sleeves by contrasting them with modern fabrics or mixing multiple time periods. The right-hand sketch is in biro with crisp packaging. It imagines packaging as a form of defence, using bright colours and branding as spiky armour

Fashion sketch ideas. Wanted to explore the idea of stained glass as structure and decoration on the body. Left-hand colouring pencil sketches suggest translucent pvc panels to let colours and forms show through. On the right, my sketch is colouring pencil and ink. I wanted to create a backpiece that suggested a cathedral rose window and would allow light to shine onto the body through 12 identically sized panels. The central samples try different methods of creating these panels, coloured cellophane, mixed textiles, pen, coloured pencil, wax crayon melted between layers of clingfilm and water soluble pen and gold pen
